Lawyers for Georgia’s board of regents said Tuesday a university president failed to keep state officials informed about moving cheerleaders off the field before football games after some black cheerleaders knelt during the national anthem.
The Board of Regents is a constitutional body that governs the University System of Georgia, comprised of 28 public colleges and universities, the Georgia Public Library Service and the Georgia Archives, and serves more than 325,000 students.
